Mannheim, 19 Dezember 2023 – In a meeting today, the Supervisory Board of Südzucker AG, Mannheim, has appointed Dr Stephan Meeder (53), CEO and CFO of CropEnergies AG, Mannheim, to the Südzucker Executive Board with immediate effect. In due course, Stephan Meeder will step down as CEO and CFO of CropEnergies AG. However, he is expected to remain a member of the CropEnergies Executive Board until 29 February 2024, but not longer than 31 May 2024.
Mannheim, 19 December 2023 – Today, the Executive Board of CropEnergies AG, Mannheim, (ISIN DE000A0LAUP1) and the Executive Board of Südzucker AG, Mannheim, (ISIN DE0007297004) signed, with the consent of their respective supervisory boards, a delisting agreement. On this basis, Südzucker AG has undertaken to offer to the shareholders of CropEnergies AG, in connection with an unconditional delisting tender offer pursuant to section 10 of the German Securities Acquisition and Takeover Act (WpÜG) and section 39 of the German Stock Exchange Act (BörsG), to acquire all shares of CropEnergies AG not yet held by Südzucker AG for a cash consideration of EUR 11.50 per tendered share. Südzucker AG currently holds approx. 69.19 percent of the shares in CropEnergies AG.
Mannheim, 15 December 2023, 10:20 CET – According to preliminary figures, CropEnergies AG, Mannheim, has achieved revenues of EUR 312 (previous year: EUR 328) million in the 3rd quarter of 2023/24 (1 September – 30 November 2023) as well as an operating profit of EUR 27 (previous year: EUR 56) million.
Mannheim, 20 November 2023, 19:10 Uhr CET – CropEnergies AG, Mannheim, will take over the business activities of EthaTec GmbH, Weselberg, via its recently founded subsidiary CE Advanced Bioenergies GmbH. A contract for the acquisition of personnel and tangible assets ("asset deal") was signed on 17 November 2023. The transaction is expected to be finalised ("closing") in the coming months.
Mannheim, 15 November 2023, 11:15 CEST – CropEnergies AG, Mannheim, adjusts the outlook for the financial year 2023/24 (1 March 2023 – 29 February 2024) and now expects revenues of EUR 1.24 to EUR 1.30 (previously expected: EUR 1.27 to EUR 1.37, previous year: EUR 1.49) billion. The operating profit is expected to reach EUR 70 to EUR 100 (previously expected: EUR 95 to EUR 145, previous year: EUR 251) million. This corresponds to an EBITDA of EUR 115 to EUR 145 (previously expected: EUR 140 to EUR 190, previous year: EUR 294) million.
Mannheim, 18 October 2023, 13:00 CEST – CropEnergies AG, Mannheim, expects a significant reduction in revenues, EBITDA and operating profit also in the 3rd quarter of the financial year 2023/24 (1 September – 30 November 2023) compared to the previous year.
Mannheim, 17 October 2023 – CropEnergies AG and Oktan GmbH have put the first pump for Super E20 into operation at a public filling station. The trial with the test fuel at the fleets of Südzucker AG, CropEnergies AG, BENEO GmbH and BENEO Palatinit GmbH at the Mannheim location is intended to show how more climate protection can be achieved immediately with existing infrastructure and at an acceptable price.
Mannheim 11 October 2023 – In the 2nd quarter of the financial year 2023/24 (1 June - 31 August 2023), CropEnergies AG, Mannheim, Germany, generated revenues of EUR 309 (previous year: EUR 450) million. EBITDA sank to EUR 31 (previous year: EUR 103) million, operating profit decreased to EUR 20 (previous year: EUR 93) million.

GETEC Group will build a plant for climate-neutral energy supply and the supply of e.g. steam and compressed air on the site of the Zeitz Chemical and Industrial Park in Elsteraue for CE Biobased Chemicals GmbH (CEBC), a 100% subsidiary of CropEnergies AG.
Mannheim, 25 July 2023 – CropEnergies AG, Mannheim, will invest more than EUR 100 million into various projects in the production site of its subsidiary Ensus UK Ltd. in Wilton, UK, over the next years. The investments will enhance the overall profitability of the site as well as its competitiveness, reduce CO2 emissions and strengthen its position on the European ethanol and protein markets.
